Henshall impersonated Levin's self-doubt and moral guilt particularly well. In the case of Henshall and Paloma Baeza the chemistry between the couple made the romance believable and moving. In particular, Mark Strong (Oblonsky), Amanda Roots (Dolly), Paloma Baeza (Kitty) and Douglas Henshall (Levin) all gave lively performances. By the end of the novel, she has seen her entire life. Anna’s fall from grace in society is one of the main themes of the novel as the story opens she is a force of order and normalcy come to her brother’s house to set things right.
